A Unique Event…

The IPAA 2012 International Congress on Public Administration will bring together more than 1000 administrators from around Australia. Participants will include representatives from Australia’s major trading partners and governments in South East Asia and the Pacific, along with representatives from the United States, Canada and Europe, all coming together in one of the largest gatherings of public administrators ever held in Australia.

A UNIQUE FORMAT…

The three day program will feature a range of leading Australian and International public sector practitioners and academics as speakers. Along with master classes and site visits, the Congress will also include an innovative series of festival-style events that will be open to the community, attract media attention and substantially broaden the reach of the Congress beyond the 1000 delegates.

COMPREHENSIVE, INNOVATIVE AND RELEVANT…

Under the overall Congress theme of ‘Valuing Public Administration’, there will be a number streams, including:

new models of governance that improve government responses to “wicked” problems
the challenges of service delivery at a time when public expectation about the quality of service delivery is growing
the possibilities and limits in internal and external engagement
improving our models of public sector leadership
the role of the public sector as enabler.

More than twelve months out the Congress already has a number of high level speakers and innovative program sessions confirmed.
